Admissions Begins For 18 New Pharmacy Colleges | Ahmedabad News

Ahmedabad: The Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) on Wednesday announced that admissions have started for the 18 newly approved pharmacy colleges in the state that will offer degree and diploma courses. A statement from the committee said that it will admit students on 50% of the government-quota seats from the total available seats in these colleges. The newly approved institutes have about 1,000 seats.
On December 7, the Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) had approved the 18 new pharmacy colleges in the state. Students who are selected in the merit list will have to complete their choice-filling by December 23. The committee will allot colleges on the same day by evening and students will have to confirm their admissions by December 25, the statement said.
The committee will announce seat vacancies on December 26. The committee said that the second round of admissions in pharmacy courses is now complete. According to the committee’s figures, at the end of the second round, 210 seats in government colleges are vacant. These government college seats include 78 for degree and 132 for diploma courses.
